36-year-old Maigan W. Richardson of Ballston Spa was arrested on Sunday by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, after being detained by Ballston Spa Police on warrants from the Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police.
She was detained on these warrants after a report was made of a suspicious person at the Dunkin’ Donuts location on Doubleday Avenue in Ballston Spa, said officials.
The Sheriff’s Office says she was allegedly found to be in possession of 360 milligrams or more of methadone and crack cocaine from a search incident coinciding with the arrest.
Authorities say Richardson was charged with fourth and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
She was arraigned in Milton Town Court and released on her own recognizance pending further proceedings in the Ballston Spa Village Court on the charges within that jurisdiction.
The Sheriff’s Office says Richardson was released on an appearance ticket from Corinth Town Court on the seventh-degree charge, pending further proceedings in that court.
Officials say Richardson was turned over to State Police on their warrants upon her release.
