Berkshire County murder suspect held without bail
Taaniel Herberger-Brown, who was wanted in connection with a Pittsfield murder, was caught at Albany International Airport. He was denied bail.
A judge has ordered the Berkshire County man charged in a murder to be held without bail.
Taaniel Herberger-Brown is accused of killing Christopher Hairston, 35, in Greenfield, Mass. back in April. Herberger-Brown pleaded not guilty to a murder charge, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at the Berkshire Eagle.
He was arrested at Albany International Airport on April 23 – one day after the body was found in an apartment that Herberger-Brown had recently moved out of on Chapman Street.
He claimed someone broke into the apartment and attacked him, the paper reported, citing court documents. Herberger-Brown said he was at the airport to visit his mother.
Herberger-Brown is due back in court next month.
