Twenty-five Black-owned restaurants in the Capital Region are offering reduced or fixed pricing in honor of Juneteenth. It’s part of 518 Black Restaurant Week.
The idea was started by Jamila Adams – owner of Johnnie’s on Broadway, a bar and restaurant in Albany.
It’s a week the Capital Region needed, she said, and she hopes everyone visits at least one Black-owned restaurant this week.
