A 15-year-old was injured and 14-year-old arrested after a shooting in Albany early Friday morning.

The shooting happened at a residence on Liebel Street. Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. and found the teen with a gunshot wound to his hip. He treated on scene and taken to Albany Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.

Police found a 9mm handgun at the scene.

The 14-year-old male is in custody. He has been charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police said he knew the victim but did not provide further details.
