Bridge in 1987 Thruway collapse had most-recent inspection last June

13 Investigates has learned the bridge involved in the 1987 Thruway bridge collapse was last examined in June.
It is required to be inspected once every two years.
The devastating collapse killed 10 people in 1987 and a replacement bridge was built just one year later.

The bridge is owned by the New York State Thruway Authority. They tell 13 Investigates the report is being finalized, but the bridge is in good condition and was rated a six on a scale of one to seven.
The last time it was checked was June 2020.
