Ten Eyck Apartments in Schenectady is filled with dozens of senior citizens, and for a period of time both of its elevators were out of service.

Friday was a day of high anxiety in the high rise on Broadway. Imagine what it’s like living on the upper floors, dependent on a wheelchair, but the only way in or out is a seven-story stairwell.
