Brunswick school district mourns loss of student
The Brunswick Central School District is mourning the loss of one of its students.

Tamarac senior Evan Franz passed away Monday after a brave three-year battle with brain cancer.
Franz is well known in the Brunswick community and beyond. He was honored with the fighting spirit award at the annual coaches versus cancer basket “ball” this past September.
Evan is also an honorary member of the Siena men’s basketball team and was often seen on the bench cheering on the saints.
Evan’s teachers, coaches and friends are all feeling his loss today, but will forever remember the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
