The entire building on 3rd Street that caught fire on Tuesday has now been demolished. The fire broke out at 610 3rd St., which is vacant.
As NewsChannel 13 reported Monday, squatters had been living inside the condemned property.
Flames then spread to the building next door, 608 3rd Street.
Ten people were living inside that duplex, the Albany fire chief said. They were all able to get out safely, he said.
No injuries have been reported.
Firefighters are investigating the cause to see if it is connected to the squatters who were inside.
