Cambridge man charged after fiery truck crash in Vermont
A Cambridge man is facing charges after police said he was speeding and crashed his truck into a telephone pole in Bennington County.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Nethanel Woodcock, 23, was traveling on Route 67E near Lamb Road in his 2005 Chevrolet truck, when lost control of the truck during a bend in the road and nearly hit another vehicle head on, Vermont State Police said.
The vehicle flipped on its side and then struck the telephone pole and caught fire.
Woodcock had only minor injuries.
Woodcock was charged with negligent operation and traffic violations. He is due in Bennington Superior Court on July 29.
