People around the Capital Region woke up on Monday to find their green lawns had turned white, their driveways needed attention, and roads on which they drive to work were caked with snow, slush and ice.
Snowblowers, shovels and windshield scrapers were taken out of storage and put to good use.
Instead of a white Christmas – they will have to settle for a white Groundhog Day this year – if the fresh coating sticks around.
