Car crashes into Ballston home
A car crashed into a home at the intersection of Round Lake Road and Benedict Road Friday night.
Neighbors said that the car skidded off the road slamming right into someone’s house. They also told us that this is a common occurrence here with another crash at this intersection happening just this morning.
The car destroyed part of the neighbor’s garage.
One resident at this home said cars crash into their home so often that they were building a retaining wall in their front yard to prevent damage to their house.
“The corner is suggested at 20 mph. We have people go around the corner at 50 mph, 60 mph. You cannot make it around this corner at that speed,” the homeowner said.
The other homeowner telling NewsChannel 13 that something here needs to be done.
“And this thing is a thing that happens often when it rains. The people don’t know how to slow down around this corner. I don’t know what else we can do, but this garage has been hit probably like 20 times and nobody does anything about it,” said the other homeowner.
No one was seriously hurt, State Police said, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
