Case of two people who allegedly removed memorial to Marine postponed

The case of two people accused of dismantling a memorial to a U.S. Marine killed in a motorcycle crash has been postponed.
James Morrell Jr. and his wife Megan allegedly took down a memorial to Nicholas Camilli, who died in October 2023. Camilli was struck and killed by James Morrell Sr., who was coming out of his driveway.
Camilli’s mother, Angela Colloca, got permission from the nearby property owner to put a memorial away from the roadside.
That memorial was removed on at least three occasions. Surveillance cameras reportedly caught Morrell Jr. and Megan Morrell removing it. Tracking devices showed pieces of the memorial tossed into dumpsters behind two area car dealerships.
Both have been charged with petit larceny. They are due back in court on April 28 at 6 p.m.
Their attorney, Kevin Luibrand, said previously that his clients did not know the memorial had been relocated to private property.
