Chatham School District to offer free meals to all students
Chatham to offer free school meals
All students enrolled in the Chatham Central School District will be eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch beginning in December.
This change is a result of the U.S. Department of Agriculture expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision, which allows schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge. The district applied for this benefit and was accepted.
Parents do not need to do anything for their child to receive the meals.
