Man accused in deadly hit-and-run has court appearance waived to grand jury.

A Clifton Park man accused in a deadly hit-and-run on Wolf Road was set to appear in court on Monday evening, but his appearance was waived to the grand jury.
Police say 37-year-old Heath Mabeus struck and killed 58-year-old Migdalia Aulet of Schenectady while she was crossing Wolf Road around 6:30 a.m. on March 14. Authorities say Mabeus fled the scene after the crash.
Through their investigation, Colonie Police were able to locate both Mabeus and his vehicle at his home in Clifton Park. He was taken into custody without incident and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death—a felony.
Colonie Police have thanked the Schenectady County Sheriff’s Office and the Capital Region Crime Analysis Center for their help in tracking down Mabeus.
