Clifton Park man arrested for DWI

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Philip R. Reiter, 38, of Clifton Park for a DWI, among other charges on Friday.

Officials say Reiter is accused of operating a vehicle intoxicated, and also operating the vehicle with a revoked driver’s license and failing to have a mandatory ignition interlock device.

The Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a call for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at the Sunoco gas station on Plank Road in Clifton Park around 9:43 p.m.

Before deputies arrived, the male reportedly left the Sunoco in a vehicle, said officials.

Shortly after, deputies located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, resulting in a vehicle pursuit and the arrest of Reiter.

Reiter was arrested and charged the following:

  • DWI
  • First-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
  • Second-degree criminal contempt
  • Second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
  • Using a vehicle without a mandatory ignition interlock device
  • Failure to obey a police officer
  • Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
  • Failure to use headlights with windshield wipers

Officials say Reiter was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further action in the matter.
