Clifton Park man arrested for DWI
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Philip R. Reiter, 38, of Clifton Park for a DWI, among other charges on Friday.
Officials say Reiter is accused of operating a vehicle intoxicated, and also operating the vehicle with a revoked driver’s license and failing to have a mandatory ignition interlock device.
The Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a call for an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at the Sunoco gas station on Plank Road in Clifton Park around 9:43 p.m.
Before deputies arrived, the male reportedly left the Sunoco in a vehicle, said officials.
Shortly after, deputies located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, resulting in a vehicle pursuit and the arrest of Reiter.
Reiter was arrested and charged the following:
- DWI
- First-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Second-degree criminal contempt
- Second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Using a vehicle without a mandatory ignition interlock device
- Failure to obey a police officer
- Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
- Failure to use headlights with windshield wipers
Officials say Reiter was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further action in the matter.
