College students were shooting hoops this weekend for the fight against cancer.

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) welcomed SUNY Corning on Saturday for the ‘Coaches versus Cancer’ basketball game to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

This game also honored longtime HVCC men’s basketball coach Mike Long.

Long says he was affected by his wife’s aunt passing away from the disease.
