A man from Cohoes admits to two violent crimes.

Thomas Spears pleaded guilty Friday to two attacks on June 12, 2023.

The first attack was at Columbia Gardens Apartments, in the early afternoon.

Spears grabbed a woman’s head and dug his fingers into her eyes.

She was able to get away with a hemorrhage to her right eye.

The second attack happened at the Stewart’s on Columbia Street, where Spears stabbed a man the neck with a screwdriver.

Spears did not know either victim.

He is expected to be sentenced to 17 years in prison when he is sentenced in May.
