Cohoes man arrested in July shooting

A Cohoes man was arrested in connection with a July shooting in Albany.

Ikara Leake, 24, allegedly shot a man on July 20 around 4:45 p.m. in the area of Madison Avenue and Trinity Place.

The 27-year-old victim went to Albany Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his buttocks. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Leake was arrested on Tuesday in the 200 block of South Pearl Street.

He was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
