Colonie man, 68, arrested for soliciting child to perform sexual act
The New York State Police arrested Christopher Johnson, 68, of Colonie on Wednesday for promoting a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police say on September 3 around 5:00 p.m., a Trooper got information that an adult man had inappropriate communications with a child.
After investigation, it was found that Johnson allegedly solicited a child on September 2, who is known to him and less than 17-years-old to perform a sexual act, said police.
State Police arrested Johnson and he was processed at State Police of Brunswick. He was arraigned at Brunswick Town Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash, a $10,000 bond, or a $20,000 partially secured bond.
