Colonie Police release ID of bank robbery suspect
Colonie Police have released the name of the suspect accused of robbing the Trustco Bank.
Christian M. Aquino, 18, of Saratoga, is accused of walking into the bank at 1 Johnson Road in Latham just after 4 p.m. on Wednesday. He was wearing a mask, pointed a gun at the teller and demanded cash. After getting the money, he ran away on foot and through a nearby neighborhood, police said.
Witnesses in the neighborhood told police about his location. A K-9 named Eddie and investigators from the Colonie, Cohoes, Green Island police departments, and State Police searched the area. Aquino was found hiding in a wooded area.
