Colonie seltzer company gets big honors in Brooklyn

A hard seltzer company based in Colonie has picked up some big honors.
Hinny Hard Seltzer won three awards at “Seltzerland.” That’s a hard seltzer festival held in Brooklyn.
Hinny’s took home the honors for best hard seltzer, overall favorite and best on-site experience during the festival.
The company features six flavors: blueberry mint, black cherry, bourbon-flavored, cranberry, pink grapefruit and grape.
The company’s mascot is a hinny – which is a domestic equine hybrid, the offspring of a male horse and a female donkey.

The animals are known for their surefootedness and thoughtfulness, said the seltzer company, and they kept that in mind when developing their brand and flavors.
