Work on the Castleton-on-Hudson Bridge has been completed, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul.

The bridge connects Albany and Rensselaer counties. It serves over six million vehicles a year.

Work began three years ago to restore the roadway – which opened in 1958.

The governor announced in April that the state was receiving a $21 million grant from the federal government to help with construction.

Work included deck repairs and a replacement of the westbound lanes.
