A contractor from Wynantskill accused of stealing from a Guilderland doctor’s office was arraigned in Albany County Court on Tuesday morning.

John Weigel pleaded not guilty to fraud charges.

The victim, Dr. Jose David, told NewsChannel 13 previously that his office is out of $60,000. David said he paid Weigel to renovate two floors, but it never got done.

Weigel was released on probation, which the judge warned could be revoked at any time if he violates it.

He is due back in court on Oct. 29.
