Corinth man pleads guilty to assaulting woman

A Corinth man has admitted to striking and injuring a woman.

Joseph Harold Murauskas, 43, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court on Friday to first-degree attempted assault.

Murauskas was arrested after he struck the woman in the head and face on March 25, police said. The woman was treated at Saratoga Hospital and then transferred to Albany Medical Center.

Murauskas is scheduled to be sentenced on March 15, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office.
