Court date delayed for Gloversville cop accused of accessing records for personal use
The Gloversville police officer accused of accessing records for personal use is scheduled to be back in court next month.
Chance Petteys has been charged with computer trespass, unauthorized use of a computer and tampering with public records. Petteys allegedly used the information on the computer to contact people in a “unprofessional manner” after police interactions. He also turned off his body camera, police said.
Petteys was due in Gloversville City Court on Monday, Sept. 16. However, that appearance has been moved to Oct. 17 at 10:30 a.m.
Petteys is on administrative leave from his job.
