Court ruling allows Albany to transfer Central Warehouse ownership

Albany County officials are celebrating the court ruling that allows them to move forward with a new owner for the Central Warehouse.

The current owner of the building, Evan Blum, has been deadlocked with county officials for ownership of the building to be transferred.

Albany County Executive Dan McCoy says his office was thrilled to learn that needed repairs can move ahead in the hands of new ownership.

McCoy told us that he and his associates, “did a little victory lap in our office yesterday… It was awesome.”

McCoy says the County is in talks with Redburn and Columbia Development for ownership to be transferred.
