Large fire in Pittsfield under investigation
NewsChannel 13 is following breaking news out of Berkshire County where an overnight fire is under investigation.
Multiple crews responded to a heavy fire at a house in Pittsfield at 206 Dalton Avenue.
Fire crews reported the front of the two-story building was fully in flames, which were spreading into the front yard.
The fire was deemed under control within 15 minutes, and units remained on scene for 90 minutes to fully extinguish the flames.
We are told the person living in that home had safely evacuated, and no firefighters were hurt. A cat living in the house was rescued by crews on scene.
