Deadly Ravena fire under investigation
Ravena fire claims one life
One person was killed in a Ravena fire.
The fire broke out around 6:30 Wednesday morning at 45 McCulloch Ave. There was heavy smoke as firefighters arrived.
One man was found dead on the first floor, according to Ravena Fire Chief Kevin Phillips.
Investigators are still working to identify that victim. Phillips believes the name will be released in the next or so pending notification of next of kin.
He was the only occupant. The fire was brought under control in about an hour.
It is likely a total loss, Phillips said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
