Demonstrations against the Trump administration

There were "Hands-off" protests in Troy and Albany Saturday.

People gathered at the West Capitol Park in Albany and outside the Atrium in downtown Troy to say “Hands-Off.”

This was the second “Hands-Off” demonstration in the Capital Region in the past few weeks.

People were protesting against President Trump and his administration regarding their policies on immigration, diversity, and the Department of Education.

“We are sick and tired of seeing Americans who live here, who work here, getting picked up by ICE. I don’t care what their people are saying. If you live here, if you work here, you are an American,” said one protester in Albany.

The protest in Troy had a similar message.

“Hey, hey ho ho! Elon Musk has got to go. Hey, hey ho ho! Elon Musk has got to go,” protestors chanted in Troy.

Both protests were peaceful and were a part of the 50501 movement.

The theme of both rallies was “Resist like it’s 1938 in Germany.”
