The three men accused of stealing from Lola Saratoga allegedly threw the luxury handbags out the window on the Northway in an effort to cover their tracks, according to court documents.

Christopher L. Tyler and Jowan A. Plummer, both 23, and Mustafa Lewis-Hamilton, 22, allegedly smashed the store window using a crowbar just before 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and stole around $35,000 worth of merchandise.

They suspects were traveling south on the Northway when they were stopped by police around Exit 11. They allegedly tossed the bags while in pursuit, court documents showed.

All three men are from Washington, D.C. They are facing felony counts of grand larceny, criminal mischief, criminal possession of stolen property, burglary, tampering with physical evidence and misdemeanors of possession of burglar tools and conspiracy.

Because the crime is not a bail eligible offense, they were released after their arraignment. They are due back in Saratoga Springs City Court on Thursday.

Police have not said whether this latest burglary is connected to the one the same store had in December or the recent theft at the Stuyvesant Plaza store.
