Dog found in Schenectady with ear cut off

A disturbing case of animal abuse is under investigation in Schenectady.
Police say a dog without an ear was found Saturday evening in the area of Eastern Parkway and McClellan Street.
Police think the ear was cut off on purpose, they said.
The dog also had injuries to her face and teeth, police said.
The dog is now being cared for at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, where staff have named her “Lavender.”
