The Justice Department is investing in national security. More than $230 million is going out to nearly every state and U.S. territory.

The New York State Division of Criminal Justice services in Albany is getting more than $13 million in funds. The money is slated to fund state crisis intervention court proceedings, including for risk protection order programs that work to keep guns out of the hands of those who pose a threat to themselves or others.
