Domestic dispute led to assault in Troy, police investigating

Troy Police say a domestic dispute led to an assault on 2nd Avenue Sunday morning.

Police patrols and Troy Fire Department responded to 750 2nd Avenue around 11:15 a.m. for reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, police located an adult male with a puncture wound to his shoulder. The male’s injury is non-life-threatening, said police.

Officials say the incident began as a domestic dispute between residents of an apartment at that address, and all involved individuals were located on the scene.

The male was taken to a local hospital for his injury by Troy Fire.

Troy Police say Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine any possible appropriate charges.
