Driveway shooting victim’s parents share chilling details from frightening night

Kaylin Gillis’ parents are speaking in an interview only with NewsChannel 13, sharing more about who she was, what they would say to the man who killed her and how they found out what happened.

Gillis, 20, was shot and killed when a car she was riding in turned into a man’s driveway by mistake.

That man, Kevin Monahan, shot at the car. One of the bullets struck Gillis. Her friends had to drive for several minutes before they could get a cell signal and call 911.

Monahan was sentenced to life in prison back in March.
