The Shaker Road – Loudonville Fire Department responded to Siena College Sunday afternoon for a report of a structure fire.

It was reported that a dryer caught fire on the first floor of Ryan Hall. The building’s sprinkler system activated and kept the fire contained until firefighters arrived.

Crews used a water can to extinguish the remaining fire.

There was no extension of the fire as it was contained to the laundry room.
