Empty chair town hall held in Glens Falls

An organization called Indivisible Adirondack/Saratoga organized a town hall for residents on New York District 21 to voice their concerns to Elise Stefanik, however Stefanik did not show up.
The room was at max capacity with the organization estimating 150 people in attendance at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls.
Everyone in attendance wanted to make sure their voices were heard, speaking to Stefanik’s empty chair.
“These people, your constituents. You work for us. It’s not the other way around. And we demand these things. We’re not going away. We’re not going to ask questions. We are demanding our rightful Social Security taxes to be paid,” said one attendee.
People were not just upset about Social Security but also topics such as the Department of Education, Trump’s firing of federal workers, and Medicaid.
“Are you okay with one out of every 14 of your constituents losing their insurance coverage? These cuts will also be devastating to rural health care,” said another person in attendance.
Voters in attendance believed that Stefanik had not done enough in her job representing New York State’s District 21
Elise Stefanik’s team providing the statement below to NewsChannel 13.
“Congresswoman Stefanik has hosted thousands of events since she was first elected which is why she was consistently overwhelming re-elected for six terms earning the highest number of votes in the North Country in history for a Congressional candidate. This is the same failed playbook radical Leftist Democrats have used every cycle. These groups are funded by out of district dark money and they should answer for their handpicked far left Democrat candidate who has viciously smeared hardworking corrections officers as have “no self worth” North Country children as “lacking independent thought,” bailed out a criminal illegal immigrant, smeared border patrol officers as racist, and supports Kathy Hochul and Kamala Harris. He will get crushed at the ballot box like every other Democrat.”
