Ex-Saratoga Springs official heading to trial in misconduct case

The case against former Saratoga Springs Public Works Commissioner Jason Golub appears headed to trial.
Golub is charged with official misconduct – accused of having a city employee deliver drain cleaner to his home.
Golub on Tuesday rejected an offer from the district attorney that would have him plead to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct. Golub said he would rather go to trial than plead guilty to something he didn’t do.
Golub, who is an attorney, was charged after he’d resigned from the City Council to take a job with the department of corrections.
