Allegations of inappropriate conduct by Cohoes teacher’s aide

Allegations of inappropriate conduct by Cohoes teacher's aide

A now-former teacher’s aide at Cohoes High School is accused of inappropriate conduct toward a student.

Superintendent Peggy O’Shea said in a letter to parents that that the administration was made aware of the allegation earlier this week. The district immediately contacted the Cohoes Police Department and is cooperating with the investigation.

O’Shea went on to say that there is no greater priority than the safety and security of their students, and they take these allegations very seriously. However, they are not able to provide more details because the investigation is ongoing.

This news comes one day after news broke of an alleged incident involving student engaged inappropriate conduct of a sexual nature during class. NewsChannel 13 has learned that those incidents are not connected.
