When asked as a child what she wanted to be when she grew up, a special agent wasn’t on her mind. However, that’s exactly what Special Agent Ellen Thurmer became.
She’s one of about 20% of female special agents within the FBI and she knows the importance of diversity in law enforcement.
While she never doubted herself in being a great special agent, she credits the women who came before her to help her see her full potential.
