A firefighter is recovering, after being hurt while battling flames in Waterford on Thursday afternoon.
A two-alarm fire has broken out at a home on Saratoga Avenue in Waterford.
Fire crews responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Eyewitnesses reported observing heavy white smoke billowing from the house, visible from as far as Cohoes.
Firefighters were seen breaking the second-floor windows to help with the smoke.
They are trying to put out the flames and prevent them from spreading to other homes and doing even more damage.
Solar panels on the home are also posing a challenge.
We are waiting to hear back about any reports of injuries.
