Five hurt in two-vehicle crash on Route 7

Five people were taken to area hospitals after a two-vehicle crash on Route 7 in the town of Hoosick.

The crash happened on Monday afternoon in the area of the Man of Kent restaurant. There were five people in one vehicle and two in the other, according to the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office.

Five people were taken to Albany Medical Center or Southwest Vermont Medical Center for what are believed to be minor injuries, according to the sheriff.

The cause is under investigation.
