The former town supervisor of Prattsville was sentenced Thursday to one year probation – along with a fine and restitution for wire fraud – in connection with a grant extended to Prattsville after Tropical Storm Irene.
As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, O’Hara pleaded guilty back in July. He admitted to obtaining false invoices from a home business, claiming to show work done on his automotive garage and service station. However, the company didn’t do the work, and returned all the money to O’Hara.
He will have to pay back nearly $25,000 to the state.
