Former SUNY Poly President Alain Kaloyeros released on bail

Alain Kaloyeros was released from prison on Wednesday.
The former president of SUNY Polytechnic Institute was sentenced to prison in 2018.
Prosecutors said Kaloyeros arranged for Syracuse executives to win a development job in Buffalo worth half a billion dollars.
The judge signed an order allowing developer Louis Ciminelli and Kaloyeros to be released after the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear the appeal of their wire fraud convictions.
The justices are expected to take up the case during their next term, which begins in October.
