Former UAlbany football player’s family creates GoFundMe to pay for funeral

A GoFundMe page has now been set up by the family of former UAlbany football player and NFL Draft hopeful AJ Simon.
He died suddenly this week at the age of 25, just a week ahead of the draft.
“Our family is now faced with the unfortunate reality of his sudden passing,”, the family wrote. They added, “we are humbly asking for donations to be able to offset the funeral expenses. We appreciate all of your love and support during this time.”
Simon’s cause of death has not been determined.
