Four accused of crack, fentanyl sales in Bennington
Four people are facing drug charges in Bennington.
Bennington Police searched a residence at 649 North Branch St. on Jan. 1. Investigators said crack cocaine was being manufactured and sold at this location, along with fentanyl.
Police seized 1,250 bags of fentanyl, around 40 grams of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia including scales.
In addition, police found loaded guns including a rifle with seven 30-round magazines, 9mm semiautomatic pistol, .22 caliber revolver, 12-gauge pump-action shotgun and cash.
Arrested were:
- Isaiah Ibrahim Acevedo Jr., 21, of Holyoke, Massachusetts;
- Michael Vanaman, 41. Bennington;
- Emily Reed, 31, Bennington;
- Katelyn Galusha, 26, Pownal, Vermont.
They are being charged with fentanyl trafficking, possession of cocaine, manufacturing crack cocaine, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, possession of firearms during the commission of a felony and possession of large ammunition feeding devices.
Vanaman and Reed were held on $150,000 cash bail at Marble Valley Correctional Facility. Isaiah Ibrahim Acevedo Jr. was held on $250,000.00 at Marble Valley Correctional Facility.
Katelyn Galusha was released with a citation to appear in Bennington Superior Court – Criminal Division at a later date.
