Glenville Police tell us four people are dead after a car crash that happened on Amsterdam Road in Glenville early Sunday morning.

It happened around 3:20 a.m.

They say a 2022 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on State Route 5 (Amsterdam Rd) near Waters Road, when it left the south side of the road, went airborne, struck several trees, before coming to rest in a ditch.

Police say all four occupants of the vehicle, one female and three males, were killed in the crash.

The accident is currently under investigation, and names of the deceased are being withheld until proper notifications can be made, police said.

Authorities say the Schenectady County Medical Examiner will be conducting autopsies Sunday afternoon.

Police note that they received anonymous information saying there could be video from another vehicle’s perspective of the crash. They ask anyone with information to call the Glenville Police Detective Office at (518) 384-0135.
