Funeral services were held Thursday for a 10-year-old girl killed by a fire in Washington County.

Airyonna Jabot died in the fire last week in Whitehall at 5 Maple St.

She was a fourth grader at Whitehall Elementary School. Her obituary describes her as a lover and she always stuck up for kids in school that were bullied.

Faculty and staff described Airyonna as a bright, intelligent with a great big smile and a sarcastic streak.

The services were held at Carleton Funeral Home in Hudson Falls. She was laid to rest at Lynnwood Cemetery in Hadley.

Investigators are looking into whether the fire was set intentionally.
