Gansevoort man accused of physically assaulting sheriff’s deputy, resisting arrest

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested Jonathan S. Bean, 60, of Gansevoort on Saturday following a disturbance call at a Spectrum store in Wilton.
Officials say they responded to the call at 1 Market Place just after 10 a.m.
Bean is accused of causing physical injury to a deputy by kicking them, as well as physically resisting arrest by the deputies to take him into custody, said the Sheriff’s Office.
He was arrested and charged with the following:
- Second-degree assault
- Second-degree obstructing governmental administration
- Resisting arrest
Authorities say Bean was arraigned in Wilton Town Court and released to pretrial services pending further proceedings.
