Georgia man accused of driving drunk crashing vehicle with illegal guns inside

A Georgia man is accused of having guns in his vehicle, which police he crashed while drunk.

State Police responded to the area of South Greenfield Road in Greenfield at around 12:01 a.m. on Aug. 24 for a report of a vehicle crashing into a utility pole and wires down.

Clayton L. Sikes, 27, was intoxicated, police said. He also had multiple illegally possessed guns and an ammunition feeding device in his vehicle.

Silkes was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, DWI and vehicle and traffic violations.

Silkes refused to provide a blood sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood, police said. He was arraigned in Moreau Town Court and released after posting $500 cash bail.
