Work crews in North Greenbush now have a giant crane removed from the inside of a house on Sandra Drive.

The couple who lives there got quite a shock Monday morning, when the crane toppled over and hit their house. Luckily, no one was injured.

Robert and Jackie Shappy hired A&J Tree Removal to remove three trees in the back. The job was set for Tuesday, but the crew showed up a day early, they said.

They had just started work, when one of the outriggers, a stabilizing arm of the crane, went down through the septic tank, and that brought the rig up and over, according to investigators.

There was a worker up on the boom, and when it came down, he came down with it. Luckily, he was not injured, according to people on scene.

The truck crushed part of the roof. An arm went through the brick into the den, pushing back the desk inside.
